I'm a barber of 7 years, so I've tried a lot of different type of equipment and brands.

I've had problems with a Black Widow straight razor before (it was a matte black one with gold accents.

The handle is a piece of sheet metal that as been bent over to make a handle...It's alot more sturdy than what it looked liked in person. I bought the barber pole edition which has a sliding mechanism that slides out so you can insert the razor. The razor sticks out so you can get in for detail work.

I purchased the shears for my boyfriend who is a professional barber. After using them for a few days, he quickly decided that these are the best shears he has ever used. The bonus straight razors provided were sleek and are great quality as well. Such a great value!
