I ordered 2 straight razor kits. I preferred the easy blade assembly over the other $24.dollar blade than your 20 dollar blade. I sold it for a loss of ten dollars to a friend at work that wanted to attempt a straight razor.

This product fits in the hand nicely, has some weight to it which seems to help out. The blade is easy to place and when shaving it doesn't tilt to one side or the other because it is secured in there with two little hooks the blade slides under. Along with that it is easy to remove, replace, and slide back into position.

Very lightweight and balanced , on shave #3 with this razor and it works well . Blade change is a little clunky but you get used to it . Looks really cool with my barber pole shaving brush .

I finally got around to using this straight razor and I was very happy with it. For the price I think it exceeded my expectations. I had a nice close shave which I think is all that matters. I actually did have a minor issue with the razor initially and the customer service could not have been better. Company really knows what they are doing.

Wen i first opened the package i was a bit worried this would be like the other cheap razors they sell but after feeling it and using it im in love with it. Love how the blade extends out after u lock it in place. Its well built!

I received my straight razor in 2 days. I had 3 razors before this one and this one feels good in my hands. It's sturdy but light enough to make straight edges easily. Also my last razors never came with blades so happy to see good quality blades with it. I recommended blackwidow razors to any barber!

Perfect for beginners or pros. Had this for a year now...love it. I was getting a straight razor cut at barber, but wanted to try on my own for the "maintenance." This product changed how I shave on the daily. I love this razor...it has lasted all year without a single issue and the razors that come with it (each razor is snapped in half) last through three to four shaves for each half. The look will make this a classic. On the plus, it holds your 1/2 blade well and fairly easy to change, but not as easy as some other brands. You have to press the new blade down rather firmly into the holder and that's just not easy without cutting yourself if you're a pro and need to change blades multiple times per day. And while the handle looks cool, it's heavier than the blade holder and thus feels a bit unbalanced in the hand. Still usable, but they should have gone with a lighter weight handle in my opinion. Finally, mine came through with a defect of shoddy quality control as the pin which holds the handle to the blade holder was put in slightly off center so that when closed, the blade holder barely enters the handle. In other words, it's crooked! Simply poor quality control. All in all, a razor with a great look, but not so practical for professional use with the heavy handle, tedious blade changing and in my case, crooked assembly. Still, four stars for the look of it.
UPDATE: The CEO of the company making Black Widow razors is sending me a replacement razor which he assures will be personally inspected to assure there is no defect in the replacement! Now, that's good service and a reason to reconsider. Perhaps the hard blade loading was also the result of the same fault and I hope it will be better in the replacement, as well. All good here!

Years ago when I got into straight razor shaving I bought a hollow thiers izzard blade from the art of shaving for $150. It worked great but I dropped it once and the blade chipped and it rendered it unusable. After that big disappointment I had been buying van der hagen safety razors from Wal-Mart because I hated Amazon. I decided to give Amazon a try due to this pandemic and I was not disappointed by this purchase. I much prefer a straight razor with changeable blades over a fixed blade straight razor. I wasn't expecting much for the price but I can see this razor lasting me the rest of my life. It's a big plus that my safety razor and straight razor share blades too.

Excellent quality very well made. My only suggestion is to laser etch both sides of the blade holder sides and also send it with pre split razor blades. Purchased as a gift. Recipient was extremely pleased with the razor. And don’t expect a sheath as shown in the cover picture.

I’m a professional barber. This razor is one of the best products I’ve used in my career. The blade cart has minimal exposure which makes shaving very easy. It has a very nice design.
